Puget Sound Track and Field gears up for Home Meet, commencing the outdoor season

TACOMA, Wash. – The University of Puget Sound Track and Field team is primed for the outdoor season as they gear up to host a weekend of competition against 13 rival teams, totaling nearly 500 athletes.

Top Women Contenders:

Jackie Lewis will defend her 400-meter title against the talent of freshman standout Lizzie Beiswanger, whose impressive indoor school record sets the stage for a thrilling race. The team's veteran leaders, including pole vaulter Allison Goodell, endurance runner Claire Mullen, and thrower Carly Wayss, return to anchor the team with their seasoned expertise.

Women's Newcomers to Watch:

Distance events see the arrival of Erin Schimidlin, while Gianna Maldonado aims for new heights in the high jump, and Quinn Reublin-Geer seeks to conquer hurdles.

Top Men's Contenders:

Leading the charge with unwavering resolve is Alex Rhodes, poised to dominate the sprints and relays. Joining him is freshman sensation Avery Keith, adding firepower to the 400-meter and relay events. Backed by a roster of seasoned athletes, including javelin thrower Lucas De Dora, sprinter Jake Howmiller, and distance athletes Ben Kerr and Cian Monaghan, the men's team is prepared to leave their mark.

Men's Newcomers to Watch:

Keep a close watch on Khai Tong in the long jump and triple jump, Sully Martin poised to elevate the pole vault event, and Ryan Hernandez ready to tackle the 400-meter hurdles with determination.
