TACOMA, Wash. – The Puget Sound women's tennis team fell to a 9-0 loss at Whitman College on Saturday on the Whitman Tennis Courts.

In a challenging match-up for against Whitman, the day began with dominating scores in the doubles matches. Whitman's Teleya Blunt and Arianna Castellanos secured a victory against Krishna Agrawal and Kaylee Yamada in the #1 doubles, followed by losses from Marissa Perez and Hyla Chatham in the #2 doubles. Then, Ella Parker and Laura Schneidman fell to Whitman in the #3 doubles.

Whitman continued the momentum moving into the singles matches as Whitman displayed exceptional skill and determination. Illina Jha of Whitman swiftly defeated Yamada in the #1 singles, followed by Jin Yu securing another win for Whitman against Perez in the #2 singles. Whitman continued the winning streak with a victories in #3, #4, #5 over Agrawal, Chatham, and Schneidman. Parker came the closest to a win with a 4-6, 0-6 loss in the #6 singles match. 

The Loggers finished the season 0-9 against Northwest Conference teams in 2024.
