TACOMA, Wash. (August 9, 2024) - The University of Puget Sound Athletic Department is thrilled to share that both Allison Goodell and Levi Buck have earned themselves First Team Scholar-Athlete Honors from the Northwest Conference

Both members of the Class of 2024, Goodell and Buck have played instrumental roles in both athletics at Puget Sound as well as the greater campus community.

Goodell, who completed her BA in Business Leadership and her minors in Economics & Mathematics, excelled both in the class and in competition. She is a four-time qualifier to the NWC Championships and has secured the #7 spot on the Puget Sound Indoor Track Top Ten rankings, as well as #5 spot on the Outdoor All-Time Top Ten list. Goodell finished her undergraduate at Puget Sound with a cumulative GPA of 3.980, and is a four-time NWC Scholar Athlete. She's also a three-time Puget Sound Scholar Athlete. Outside of the classroom and outside of competition, Goodell was the president of Gamma Pi Beta Phi, was the recipient of honors for Phi Kappa Phi, and was invited to the Order of Omega: Leadership Honor Society. Goodell was also often seen around campus in her on-campus position as a tour guide and leader of the Campus Visit Program.

Buck received two degrees at Puget Sound, one in Politics & Government and the other in Hispanic International Studies. He, like Goodell, is also leaving Puget Sound with a minor in Economics. Buck was recognized in 2024 as Puget Sound's Top Male Scholar Athlete and is described as having "demonstrated unwavering commitment to the team and its development." Buck is also a four-time NWC Scholar Athlete and three-time Puget Sound Scholar-Athlete. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and received honors from the Department of Politics and Government. Buck held an on-campus position as a resident assistant with Residence Life for three years.

Additionally, a large number of Loggers received a place on the NWC Scholar-Athlete Team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the end of the academic year and must have participated throughout the entire varsity season. * denotes that the player had been named All-Conference First Team or Second Team at some point during their season.
