NORTH PLAINS, Ore. -- Puget Sound finished up play at the Pacific Invite today, finishing in ninth place with a two-day score of 599 (+31).
How it Happened
Day 1:Â
Charlie Stephens had the round of the day for the Loggers, shooting a one-under 70, including a bogey-free two-under back nine. His stellar play led the pack, as he was the only player under par for the team. Cade Streeter also played well, carding a 72 (+1), with a trio of birdies. Two doubles on the back nine plagued his round, but he finished strong, birdying his final hole of the day.Â
Jack Kuntz and Andrew Spitzer wrapped up the scoring, both shooting 77 (+6) on the day. Kuntz went birdie-eagle in back-to-back holes to help him to a back nine 33 (-2). Zavier Feasey-Allen finished with a 78 (+7), and Michael Baker and Jackson Dorlarque finished with a 77 (+6) and 85 (+14) as individuals.Â
Day 2:Â
Stephens continued his solid play on day two, posting a 75 (+4). He closed with two birdies in his final five holes to finish in 21st place individually. Streeter was right behind him with a 76 (+5) today, finishing six over through two days.
Kuntz and Feasey-Allen both joined Streeter with a 76 (+5) today, rounding out the scoring for the Loggers. Spitzer had three birdies on the scorecard en route to an 83 (+12), finishing 64th overall on the weekend. Baker shot a 78 (+7) today, and Dorlarque an 80 (+9) as the individuals finished their days on a high note.Â
What Happens Next
The Loggers head to the first conference tournament of the year on October 12th-13th, competing in the Fall Classic at Oswego Lake CC.Â
