Loggers Continue to Roll Over Linfield

TACOMA, Wash. -- The Loggers continued to roll against Linfield, as both the men's and women's teams picked up the win. 

How it Happened
The Women's 400 medley relay team got the night started, as Harper McGuire, Adison Cosbey-Lewis, Maddy Brennan, and Lelia Ollenburg raced to the finish line in 4:11.97. They beat their seed time by nearly two seconds, giving the Loggers an early lead. 

Sam Lyon followed that up with the men's first victory in the 200 free, swimming a 1:45.89 to lap the field. Lyon raced well, beating the next competitor by just over five seconds. Emory Burden got the next win for the Loggers in the 50 Free, going 1-2 with Will Cabana to put the Loggers ahead. 

Brennan continued to race well, picking up her second win of the night in the 200 IM. She finished a whopping 10 seconds ahead of Hazel Knight, breaking her seed time by .82 seconds. Lyon also got his second win of the night in the 200 fly, touching the wall in 1:57.64. 

Daphne Kong took the field by storm in the 200 fly, as the freshman outraced Brennan by nearly three seconds - she touched the wall in 2:13.69, as Brennan finished in 1:16.05. The Loggers continued to race well, as Cabana and Khong both won their respective 200 Backstroke races. Anderson Bennett and Knight both won the 200 breaststroke as well, capping off a solid night for the team. 

Coach's Thoughts
"It was great for get another conference win. At this point of the season we are swimming with a lot of fatigue, that being said we managed to have some very good performances which is very encouraging. Excited for more of the same tomorrow."
