Loggers Roll Past River Otters to Remained Undefeated in NWC Meets

| By:
TACOMA, Wash. -- The Loggers out-swam the River Otters tonight, as both the men's and women's teams picked up solid wins in their second Northwest Conference dual meet of the season.

How it Happened
The Loggers kicked it off strong in the 200 medley relay, as both the men's and women's teams took first and second place. Will Cabana, Anderson Bennett, Sam Lyon, and Emory Burden had a top time of 1:35.00, while Harper McGuire, Adison Cosbey-Lewis, Daphne Khong, and Lelia Ollenburg cruised to a nice four-second victory in 1:52.43. The Loggers continued their success in the mile, picking up easy victories as no River Otters entered the pool.

Jonah Kembel kicked his night off strong with a 1:49.10 in the 200 free, slithering past Lewis & Clark's Zach Martin for the Loggers' fifth straight race win. Holly Zippay bounced back with a time of 2:03.40 of her own, picking up yet another nine points. The Loggers won the first ten events of the evening, as Burden and Ollenburg both won their 50-free heats, and Devin Goetsch and Khong raced well in the 400 IM.

Ollenburg continued to finish atop the podium, finishing the 100 butterfly in a time of 59.52. She narrowly outreached fellow Logger, Maddy Brennan, who also finished under a minute. Cabana, Lyon, Brennan, Bennett, and Cosbey-Lewis all finished their night in the individual win column as well, as the River Otters couldn't keep pace. The women's team capped off a phenomenal night, finishing nearly 10 seconds ahead of the next closest team in the 200 free relay.

What Happens Next
The Loggers stay at home as they host Linfield next Friday, November 14th. The meet is slated to begin at 6:00 pm.
