SPOKANE, Wash. -- Kyrstin Wilson was the lone Logger who competed at the Spokane Invitational, putting up great times in both the 200m and 60m dashes.
In a great start to the year for the senior, Wilson found her way into the finals in the first indoor meet of the year. Her day started in the 60m, where she raced her way into a personal best with a time of 7.76. She crossed the finish line mere milliseconds ahead of Eastern Washington's Judith Koumedzina, winning the tie break by 0.003 seconds.
In the finals of the 60, Wilson one-upped her time to finish with yet another PR, crossing the line with a 7.75 to finish in 7th. She followed that up with a time of 24.40 in the 200, finishing in 5th place amongst the top runners in the region. As of now, she has the 13th-best time in the 60m and the 11th-best time in the 200m, which puts Wilson in the perfect position to make the national meet.
The Loggers will be back in action on January 16th and 17th at the UW Invitational in Seattle, Washington.
