Loggers Ready to Shine at NWC T&F Championships

| By:

TACOMA, Wash. – Nearly 40 Logger student-athletes have departed campus to make their way to Portland for the 2025 Northwest Conference Track & Field Championships, hosted this weekend by Lewis & Clark. Under the direction of head coach Lisa Kushiyama, the University of Puget Sound squad is loaded with talent, record-breakers, and podium potential across the board.

Leading the charge on the track is Kyrstin Wilson, who enters the weekend with the fastest 100m time in program history at 11.79 seconds and a blazing 24.70 in the 200m—also a school record. She'll compete in both individual sprints and anchor the Loggers in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

On the men's side, Alex Rhodes is primed for a title run. The reigning NCAA Division III indoor national champion in the 400m (46.71) enters the outdoor championships with Puget Sound's all-time best in the event at 45.93 seconds. He's also second in school history in the 100m (10.62) and 200m (21.09), and will be a staple in the 4x400 relay.

Fellow sprinter Avery Keith will join Rhodes in the 200m, 400m, and the 4x400. Keith owns the second-fastest 400m time in Logger history (48.15) and continues to push the pace with every race.

Sprinters Lizzie Beiswanger and Victoria Bradshaw will join Wilson in the women's 100m and 200m events, while also featuring heavily in both relays. Bradshaw is also set to compete in the pole vault.

Erin Schmidlin looks to make an impact in the 800m, 1500m, and 4x400. A consistent point scorer throughout the season, she adds critical depth to the Logger middle-distance group alongside Tdohasan Sunray, who will race the 800m and join the men's 4x400, a group that has yet to post a time this season.

In the hurdles, Quinn Reublin-Geer will compete in the 100m hurdles and the high jump. Her 16.02-second hurdle time ranks eighth in program history.

Logger throwers also look to score big. Carly Wayss, third all-time at Puget Sound in the hammer throw (137'6"), will take the ring alongside Taylor Rees, who ranks 10th with a 149'6" mark. On the men's side, Thomas Goeglein will represent the Loggers in the shot put and discus. He sits fifth in school history in the discus (150'6") and 10th in the shot (48'0.5").

Distance standout Ben Kerr is another one to watch. He holds the third-fastest 1500m time in Logger history at 3:49.60 and looks to improve on that mark this weekend. Cian Monaghan, currently ninth in the 5k record books (14:45.69), will double up in the 5k and 10k, chasing strong conference finishes.

Jumpers Bryson Boyea-Quiton and Brogan Murphy will take on the 100m, 200m, long jump, and 4x100 relay, bringing speed and power to both the runway and the relays. Dylan Cordeiro will represent the Loggers in the pole vault competition.

With a balanced roster of sprinters, distance runners, jumpers, and throwers, the Loggers are poised to contend across multiple events throughout the weekend. Stay tuned for updates as Puget Sound looks to leave its mark on the 2025 Northwest Conference Championships.
