Loggers Compete in Final Qualifier at George Fox

NEWBERG, Oregon (May 15, 2025) – Three Logger sprinters took to the track Thursday evening at the George Fox Last Chance Meet, looking to make a final push toward NCAA Outdoor Championships qualification.

Sophomore Alex Rhodes, the reigning NCAA Division III indoor national champion in the 400-meter dash, led the way with a heat winning time of 47.18 seconds. Already with a strong standing nationally, Alex used the race as a tune-up as he aims to match his indoor title with outdoor gold later this month.

Fellow sophomore Avery Keith finished close behind, posting a 48.26 in the same heat. Keith entered the meet ranked 28th nationally and needed a top-22 mark to bolster his chances of qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Junior Kyrstin Wilson clocked 24.56 in the women's 200-meter dash to win the heat. Ranked 42nd entering the meet, Wilson was also aiming to break into the top 22 and secure her place at nationals.  Kyrstin already possesses a nationals qualifying time in the 100m, with Sophomore Lizzie Beiswanger already qualified for nationals in the 400m as well.

Selections for the NCAA Championships will be announced tomorrow. Live results from the George Fox Last Chance Meet are available here.
