NEWBERG, Ore. -- Two impressive runs come to an end, as both
Jason Rowe and Vincent Unpingo fall in the Main and B Draw singles semi-finals
Rowe got his day started against No. 1 seed Alexander Stage, who was one of the top players in the entire Northwest Conference last season. After putting up a solid fight, Rowe's magical run came to an end, dropping his match 6-1, 6-3. Despite the loss, it truly is one of the most impressive performances put on by a Logger in recent history.
Unpingco kicked off the day in the B Draw Singles finals, facing No. 2-seeded Claes Hansen from Whitman College. After dropping the first set 2-6, Unpingco came back in the second set. After a long battle, he ended up dropping it 4-6, ending his deep run in the tournament.Â
