TACOMA, Wash. - - The University of Puget Sound swimming teams showcased their depth and endurance this weekend, pulling away from the Southwestern Oregon Community College Lakers during the final day of dual-meet action.

The Loggers established dominance early, building on a strong Friday lead by sweeping the opening relay events. This momentum set the stage for a high-energy Saturday session.
Sam Lyon led the charge in the 1,650-yard freestyle, taking first place with a time of 17:18.68. The Loggers secured a full podium sweep with Anthony Sampson and Gavin Legere finishing second and third.
On the women's side, Laleeta Pal delivered a dominant first-place finish in the distance lanes, while teammate Ayla Rowan followed closely to secure second.
The backstroke events belonged to Puget Sound as Brandon Tsang and Will Cabana went 1-2 in the 100-yard race. Pia Lihou kept the streak alive, winning the women's 100-yard backstroke.
Lelia Ollenburg notched another win for the Loggers in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.62). In the 200-yard individual medley, Maddy Brennan and Daphne Khong outpaced the field to finish first and second respectively.
The Loggers swept the 400-yard medley relays, with the men clocking a 3:34.91 and the women finishing in 4:22.50.
The meet ended with a statement in the 200-yard freestyle relays. The men took first in 1:26.51, while the women's 1:43.24 finish officially "timbered" the Lakers' hopes of a comeback.
