TACOMA, Wash. - - The University of Puget Sound men's and women's swimming teams were honored this week for their exceptional performance in the classroom, as both programs earned a spot on the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America list for the Fall 2025 semester.
The Scholar All-America award includes collegiate swimming and diving programs nationwide from NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III, as well as NAIA and junior college and community college institutions, emphasizing the broad academic impact of the sport across all levels of competition. To qualify for the list, a program must post a team cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester.
The women's team surpassed this mark with a 3.57 team GPA, and the men's team finished the semester with a 3.31 GPA. In total, 25 men and 18 women from the Logger rosters contributed to the programs' academic success.
The award comes during a time of peak performance for the Loggers in the water. Both squads are fresh off a dominant showing on Senior Day (Jan.17), where the Loggers swept Pacific University. The men with a score of 162-11 and the women with a victory of 132-49.
Looking Ahead
With a strong academic standing, the Loggers now turn their full attention to the final stretch of the regular season. The team will travel to face Northwest Conference rivals Whitman and Whitworth this weekend. These meets serve as the final tune-up before the 2026 Conference Championships, scheduled for February 13-15 at the Idaho Central Aquatic Center.
