PORTLAND, Ore. - - The University of Puget Sound men's tennis fell to the Kingsmen of California Lutheran University, 6-1 in a non-conference match hosted at Lewis & Clark on Monday afternoon.
How it Happened
The match started with doubles play, the Kingsmen took an early lead winning all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The Loggers kept it competitive at the No.3 spot, where Sam Lowery and Aidan Kresko pushed their opponents to a narrow 7-5 finish.
In singles, Jason Rowe provided a highlight for the Loggers at the No.1 position. After dropping a close first set 6-4, Rowe battled back to win the second set 6-3. He then clinched the matches in a 10-7 tiebreaker to earn the Loggers' lone point of the day. At the No.5 spot, Sebastian Silverstein showed great resilience, trading games in a gritty 8-5 pro-set loss.
Despite the fight in the lineup, the Kingsmen swept the remaining flights to secure the victory.

Puget Sound will return to Northwest Conference play this Saturday, Feb. 21, at Lewis & Clark. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
