Loggers Fall to Regals in Portland Dual

| By:

PORTLAND, Ore.  - - The University of Puget Sound women's tennis faced a tough challenge on Monday afternoon, falling 7-0 to the Regals of California Lutheran University in a neutral-site match hosted at Lewis & Clark College.

How it Happened

The match opened with doubles play. The Regals took control early, securing the doubles point with three 6-2 victories across the board. The scores reflected a much closer level of play than the final tally suggested, as many games went to deuce.

In singles action, the Loggers refused to back down. Kaylee Yamada led the way at the No.1 position, showing great poise while taking games from the Regal's top player. Further down the lineup, Pearl Buck and Zoe Richter both found their rhythm in the second set of their matches, digging deep to extend rallies and secure games through persistence.

The Loggers continue to make strides with every match, showing their relentless ability to battle through long points. The progress comes as they prepare for the heart of the conference schedule.
