TACOMA- Wash. - - The University of Puget Sound women's tennis team took down Willamette 5–2 at The Barn on Saturday. The Loggers started fast by winning all three doubles matches and kept it going with four wins in singles play.

Doubles
Puget Sound dominated the doubles round to earn the first point of the day. At the number one spot, Kaylee Yamada and Pearl Buck won 6-3. The momentum carried over to the number two spot, where Nicole Wilson and Frances English matched that 6-3 score. The sweep was completed as Hannah Nejedly Walt and Ginger Parker cruised to a 6-0 shutout at number three. Zoe Richter and Ella Norman also took down their opponents in a 6-3 score.
Singles
Following the doubles sweep, the Loggers showed strength across the board in singles play, winning four of the six matches – all in straight sets.
English stayed hot at the No. 2 position, taking down the Bearcats 6–3, 6–2. At No. 3, Bean Lowe earned a 6–1, 6–4 win. Wilson continued her winning day at the No. 4 spot with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Buck clinched the final point for the Loggers at No. 5 (6-2, 6-2).
What Happens Next
The Loggers will look to defend their home court yet again. Puget Sound hosts Whitworth on Saturday, March 7, with the first ball scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at The Barn.
