NEWBERG, Ore. -- A number of Loggers traveled down to Oregon for the George Fox Indoor meet, getting one final tune-up before the Whitworth Invitational.
How it Happened
Gwen Bundy got the day started in the Women's Long Jump, kicking off her collegiate career with Puget Sound with a jump of 4.45m.
Brogan Murphy also competed in the Men's Long Jump, placing ninth with a jump of 5.65m. Continuing the field events was
Thomas Goeglein, who cracked the top-10 in the Men's Shot Put. He finished with a throw of 12.89m, marking his second top-10 finish so far this year.
Eva Bebber and
Carly Wayss wrapped up the field events, competing in the Women's Weight Throw. Bebber placed ninth with a throw of 11.62m, and Wayss placed 16th with a top throw of 10.42m.
The Loggers continued their solid showing on the Bruins' 60m indoor track.
Quinn Reublin-Geer kicked things off in the Women's 60m Hurdles, running a 10.08 and just missing the finals. She also competed in the 60m dash, running an 8.83 to wrap up her opening meet of the season. Bundy and Aliette D'Arcy also both ran the 60m, running 8.89 and 8.92, respectively. Murphy continued his day in the 60m for the Loggers, running a 7.54 to cap his season debut.
Brayden Decker also ran the 60m, running an 8.35 to wrap up the meet for Puget Sound.
What Happens Next
Puget Sound heads to the Whitworth Invitational in Spokane, which is the final major indoor event for the Loggers. Several Loggers will look to race season-best times, with a spot at the NCAA Indoor National Championship on the line. The meet is on February 13-14, with a time that is to be announced.
