Women's Crew Races Well Against Division I Opponents

| By:
LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- The Loggers race well against two solid Division I programs, notching two season bests in the 1V8+ and 2v8+ boats.

How it Happened
After a delay pushed the start time back to 12:00, the Loggers were ready to go for the Puget Sound Invite. The women's 1V8+ got on the water first, taking five seconds off their time at the PLU Invite to finish second. After crossing the line at 7:21.5, the Loggers outpaced Seattle University by nearly 20 seconds.

The Women's 2V8+ was up next, also cutting a couple of seconds off their time from the PLU Invite. They finished their 2k race with a time of 8:01.9, also outpacing Seattle's 2V8+. The boat is getting close to finishing below the eight-minute mark, and will have another chance at it next weekend.

The final race of the day was the Women's novice 4+, in which the Loggers continued to race well. They took on Portland's Novice 4+, crossing the finish line nine seconds faster than the Division I squad. The Loggers finished with a time of 8:30.2, a quick time for the Novice squad.

What Happens Next
The Loggers take on Pacific Lutheran in the coveted Lamberth Cup next Saturday, March 21st.
