TACOMA, Wash. -- The Loggers take a spring break trek down to the South side of Tacoma, competing at the Brad Moore Invitational at Pacific Lutheran.
How it Happened
The meet started on Friday, with
Carly Wayss and
Eva Bebber competing in the Women's Hammer Throw. Wayss threw a mark of 43.12m, which was good enough for fifth overall. Bebber rounded out the top 10 with a throw of 31.12m. The pair came back on Saturday in the Women's Discus, with Wayss securing another fifth-place finish. She threw a mark of 33.94m, but Bebber wasn't far behind, placing sixth at 32.75m
Izac Stoikovich also placed sixth in the Men's Javelin, throwing a 44.22 as the lone Logger competitor.
Max Pedrotti-Jacobs competed in the pole vault yet again for the Loggers, placing seventh with a jump of 4.00m.
Brayden Decker was the final field athlete to compete, locking in a third-place jump of 1.82m.
In the track events,
Bria Metcalf-Lindenburger got the Log rolling in the Women's 1500m, placing fourth on the day. She ran a 5:04.69, and was the second-fastest DIII finisher.
Dylan Moore also placed fourth in the Women's 400m, as the Senior crossed the finish line in 1:06.77. On the men's side,
Zachary Slominski broke the 52-second mark in the 400m, running a 51.99 to finish as the fastest DIII competitor.
Kyrstin Wilson was up next in the Women's 100m Dash. She not only won the race with a time of 12.11, but she also beat out six DII competitors on her way to cross the line. She now has the sixth-fastest time in the nation, and has put a good benchmark for the rest of her season.
Whitney Nelson then ran the 800m for the first time this season for the Loggers, running a 2:30.89 to place fourth. Continuing the distance races were
Brooklyn Gildersleeve-Stiles and
Cian Monaghan, both placing second in the women's and men's 5k. Gildersleeve-Stiles finished with a time of 21:08.63, and Monaghan with a 15:14.65 to conclude the races for today.

The Loggers head home for the Peyton-Shotwell Invitational next Saturday, March 28th.
