Loggers Display Resilience on the Road

PORTLAND, Ore. - - The Logger women's tennis team faced a tough opponent on the road, falling 7-0 to the Lewis & Clark River Otters.

How It Happened

At No.1 doubles, Pearl Buck and Kaylee Yamada kept their set close before dropping the game 6-4. The most intense matchup came at the No. 2 spot, where Frances English and Nicole Wilson pushed the River Otters through a physical test. At the No. 3 position, Ginger Parker and Zoe Richter fell 6-0.

In singles competition, the Loggers were led by Bean Lowe at the No. 3 spot. After winning the opening set, Lowe dropped the second and forced a third-set tiebreaker before eventually falling in the final set. On the top courts, Yamada and English faced difficult opponents, losing 6-2, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-1.

The bottom of the lineup also showed grit, Meredith Friess remained competitive in a 6-2, 6-3 loss. At the No. 4 and No. 5 spots, Wilson fell 6-1, 6-1, while Buck dropped her match 6-0, 6-0.

What Happens Next

The Loggers will look to rebound quickly as they travel to face George Fox University tomorrow. That match is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
