WALLA WALLA, Wash. - - The Loggers faced a challenging day on the courts, dropping their last regular season match 7–0, despite several gritty performances across the lineup.
How It Happened
The afternoon began with a tight battle at the top spot. Jason Rowe and Jackson Stumpf battled closely with their opponents, coming within a few points of a breakthrough before falling in a narrow 6–4 score.
On the next courts, the Loggers struggled to find their rhythm. Tyler Blixt and Gavin Dille fell 6-1 at No. 2 and Sam Lowery and Aidan Kresko also dropped their set 6-1.
Moving into singles, Puget Sound showed plenty of tenacity as they fought back into the match. Rowe put up a resilient effort at the top of the order, making his opponent work in a 6–2, 6–3 loss.
Sebastian Silverstein engaged in a heavy baseline battle, showing consistency in a 6–3, 6–3 defeat. Blixt remains competitive throughout his sets, finishing with a 6–3, 6–2 score line.
Rounding out the lineup, Dille and Reef Gelder both fought through 6–2, 6–0 matches, while Lowery fell 6–1, 6–2.
