| By:
NORTH PLAINS, Ore. -- The Loggers improve by 11 strokes on day two, moving up to 6th place at the NWC Championships with a two-day score of 699.

How it Happened
Day 1
At a tough Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club (Ghost Creek), the Loggers took a bit to get the Log rolling on day one. Kira Goode, coming off a victory at the Wildcat Invite, led the way once again for the Loggers. She started out with a birdie on her second hole of the day, and finished even through her final three holes to start and end strong. She ended up firing an 81 (+10), just five strokes back of the lead. Elise Munding was the other Logger round in the 80s, firing an 88 (+17). She was consistent throughout her entire round, breaking 90 yet again for the Loggers.

Francesca Brinkman and Cayton Smith rounded out the scoring four for the Loggers. Brinkman rattled off a 90 (+19), with the highlight of her day being a birdie on the par-three third hole. Smith got off to a tough start, but hung in there for a first-round 96 (+25).

Day 2
The second round saw lots of improvement from the team, as Munding rattled off one of her best rounds of the season. She fired an 82 (+11), leading the way for Puget Sound. She started off her day with a birdie on the fifth hole, and added another on the par-four 12th. Smith improved by 11 strokes individually on day two, coming in second on the team with an 85 (+14). Her day was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th holes, which catapulted her back up the leaderboard.

Goode dropped a couple of spots on the leaderboard on day two, but started and finished strong yet again. She kicked off her round event through her first four holes, and ended up firing an 86 (+15) to finish in 16th overall. Brinkman was the final Logger in scoring position for the day, putting together a 91 (+20) on day two. For the second straight day, the highlight of her round was a birdie on hole three - the same hole she birdied on day one.

The Loggers conclude play for the season and look to continue their success in the fall.
