HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The 2025-26 Northwest Conference McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports Standings have been released, with the Loggers recording a third-place finish.
Overall, 2025-26 was a positive year for Logger Athletics. The Athletic Department rose from fourth to third in the Northwest Conference All-Sports Standings, going from 179 points in 2024-25, to 193 points in 2025-26. This 14-point improvement helped the Loggers to their best finish since the 2014-15 season.
What's more impressive, is that the Loggers took care of business in the modern era of sports in the NWC. Multiple other athletic programs have added sports since 2014-15, and with the conference not sponsoring Women's Rowing after the 2024-25 season, Puget Sound didn't benefit from the points they previously received from Women's Rowing.
Puget Sound has also seen a massive jump since the 2023-24 season. After placing eighth in the All-NWC Standings in 2023-24, several programs have seen major improvements in 2025-26. In a two-year span, Women's Cross Country went from ninth place to fourth place, Women's Volleyball went from fifth place to tied-first, Women's Swimming went from fifth place to second place, and baseball went from seventh place to tied-third, just to name a few.
This year's podium finish was highlighted by two Northwest Conference Champions in Women's Soccer and Women's Volleyball. Both programs tied for first in the regular season standings, earning the Loggers 17 points apiece towards the All-Sports standings. The Loggers also saw four second-place finishes, as Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Swimming, and Women's Swimming all placed second in NWC play.
