Ten Loggers Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Award

TACOMA, Wash. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2026 Division III Men's and Women's Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams, with 10 Loggers earning a spot on the list. 

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a GPA of 3.5 or above for the 2025-26 academic year, while ITA All-Academic Teams must have an average GPA of 3.2. The Puget Sound women's tennis team excelled in the classroom, becoming one of 177 programs to earn a spot on the prestigious ITA All-Academic Team. 

Individually, four men's tennis athletes, and six women's tennis athletes earned the title of ITA Scholar-Athlete. 

Men's Tennis Scholar-Athletes:
Reef Gelder - Biology
Jason Rowe - Economics, Business Administration
Sebastian Silverstein - Economics, Mathematics
Jackson Stumpf - Business Administration

Women's Tennis Scholar-Athletes:
Meredith Freiss - Psychology
Bean Lowe - Psychology
Ginger Parker - Communications
Zoe Richter - Business Leadership
Nicole Wilson - Economics
Kaylee Yamada - Exercise Science

The Loggers look to return stronger next year, kicking off their fall season with the ITA Regional Tournaments held in late September.
