HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference released its NWC Scholar Athlete Award winners, honoring athletes who got it done on the field and in the classroom. 

The University of Puget Sound athletic department had 157 scholar-athletes earn the conference award, as Hayden Teeter and Zoe Witter were named NWC First Team Scholar-Athletes.

Teeter finished the 2025 season for the Logger football team in record-breaking fashion, becoming the single-season leader in total offense, passing yards, passing yards/game, passing attempts, passing completions, and passing touchdowns. He also broke 3 NCAA DIII records for his performance against Southwestern, including passing attempts in a game (86), passing attempts in a quarter (40), and completions in a quarter (26). 

Witter was named to the All-NWC First Team after leading the women's soccer team to the NCAA DIII Round of 32. She played and started in all 22 of the Loggers games, recording 5 goals, and 2 assists, including 3 game-winning goals. Witter was also named to the Women's Soccer CSC Academic All-District team, and has shown her excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

Both Teeter and Witter were honored with the Dr. Roberta Wilson and Harry Werbisky Awards, honoring Logger Athletics' top scholar-athletes. 

The Logger baseball team led the way in the classroom in the 2025-26 school year, finishing with a department-high 27 NWC Scholar Athletes. On the women's side, women's track & field concluded their season with 17 recipients. In order to receive the award, recipients had to carry a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Of Puget Sound's 157 athletes, 34 also earned All-Conference Honors.
