DUPONT, Wash. -- The Loggers started their season close to home at the PLU Invite, finishing 9th to kick off their fall season.
How it Happened
Cade Steeter led the way on day one for the Loggers, picking up exactly where he left off the season last year. His three birdies powered him to a 37 (+1) on both nines, carding a solid round of 74 (+2). He followed that up with a 77 (+5) in windy conditions on day two, finishing just inside the top-25 with a 7-over 151.
Bellevue Community College Transfer Milo Sover made a splash for the Loggers in his debut, shooting a 77(+5) on day one, and a team-low 76 (+4) on day two. He was right behind Streeter in the individual standings, finishing in 27th. His two birdies on the front nine propelled him to a 37 (+1) on the front on day two, cruising the rest of the way to a 76.
Preston Kieschnik also made his Logger debut with a couple solid rounds of golf. After firing a 79 (+7) on day one, he followed it up with an 80 (+8) to round out his first tournament. In round one, his front nine was a whirlwind, but he played his final eight holes one over par to still shoot in the 70s. Day two was a tale of big numbers, as three holes cost Kieschnik eight strokes. He finished the rest of the round at even par, firing an 80 to conclude his day.
Jackson Dorlaque and Michael Baker rounded out the scoring five for the Loggers. Baker shot 85 (+13), 80 (+8), and Dorlaque went 76 (+4), 84 (+12) as the two swapped low rounds. Dorlaque's 76 was smooth, picking up seven straight pars on the back nine for a consistent round of golf. Charlie Carlson was the Lone individual, shooting 83 (+11), 82 (+10) to round out the scoring.
