DUPONT, Wash. -- The Loggers jumped up a spot on day two of the PLU Invite, placing sixth in their first tournament of the fall season.
How it Happened
Kira Goode continues to play well for the Loggers, starting off her first round with a birdie on hole three. She added two more birdies on her way to a 79 (+7), including a 38 (+2) on the back nine. In both windy and rainy conditions in round two, Goode fired an 86 (+14) to conclude the first tournament of her Senior season.
Cayton Smith also played well in round one, putting together an 83 (+11). Her back nine score of 38 (+2) led the way, as Smith put together a smooth stretch of pars to boost her score. In round two, she shot a 93 (+21), but put together a nice stretch of holes on the back nine.
Mia Teramae made a strong Logger debut, firing an 84 (+12) in her first round for Puget Sound. She also had a great back nine, putting together a 39 (+3) to finish on a high note. In round two, she put together the second-best Logger round of the day. Firing a 90 (+18), she had a one-over five-hole stretch on the back nine to finish on a high note yet again.
Francesca Brinkman and Elise Munding returned for the Loggers, both playing well in their first rounds of the year. Brinkman fired a 95 (+23) in round one, before piecing together a 92 (+20) in round two. A one-over-par through four finish on the front nine helped her to a 43 (+7), for her best nine holes of the weekend. Munding fired a 94 (+22) on day one, backing it up with a 98 (+26) on day two.
Sydney Ito, Sydney Bell, Abigail Udlock, and Reagan Molander all competed as individuals for the Loggers. Ito and Bell made their Logger debuts, with Ito firing an individual low 88 (+16) on day one, and a 95 (+23) on day two. Bell went 97 (+25), 96 (+24), Udlock shot a 96 (+24), 101 (+29), and Molander wrapped up the scoring with a 107 (+35) on day two.

The Loggers travel to North Plains, Ore. for the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club on October 4th-5th.
