TACOMA, Washington – Following a week in which the Puget Sound baseball team earned a dominant three-game Northwest Conference sweep on the road, senior left fielder Jack Gries was named the Logger Club Logger of the Week.
Gries hit three home runs in five games last week, including two long balls during the Loggers' sweep at Lewis & Clark (March 23-24). In addition to the three homers, Gries drove in 10 runs, scored nine times, swiped two bases, and hit .333 last week.
Gries leads the team home runs (4), runs (22), hits (31), steals (7), and he is tied with Mason Quinlan for the team lead in doubles (9).
The Loggers return home this weekend to host Linfield for a three-game NWC series, March 30-31.
