LAKELAND, Washington – Puget Sound crew sept all of its races against Pacific Lutheran on American Lake Saturday morning, as the Logger men won the Meyer Cup and the women claimed the Lamberth Cup.
Together, Puget Sound men's and women's boats combined to win the Al Lawrence All-Points Award outright for the second consecutive year.
The Loggers' men's varsity-eight timed in at 6:38.9, nearly 30 seconds ahead of the Lutes. The Puget Sound women's varsity-eight finished in 6:51.7, four seconds ahead of Pacific Lutheran.
The women's second varsity-eight (7:11.6) beat the Lutes by nine seconds, the women's third varsity-eight bested the Lutes by a little more than four seconds.
The men's novice-four crossed the finish line in 7:20.6, topping Pacific Lutheran by nearly 14 seconds.
The next races for Puget Sound are in the Husky Open, March 31, in Seattle.
