TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's golf teams are set to compete in the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at the Michelbrook Country Club in McMinnville, Oregon. The two-day event starts Saturday, Oct. 13, and ends Sunday, Oct. 14.
Freshman men's golfer Reynn Hoshide had a strong performance during his first-ever home competition for the Loggers. He placed third overall during the Puget Sound Invitational (Sept. 29-30). Hoshide finished one stroke away from tying Adam Bean's program record for best 18-hole score (67) by shooting a 68 in the second round.
The Logger men placed fourth out of seven teams during the Puget Sound Invitational (Sept. 29-30), while the Logger women were seventh out of the same number of teams. Emmi Modahl tied for 19th overall to lead the Puget Sound women, and Reynn Hoshide was the top golfer for the Logger men.

Both Puget Sound teams placed sixth overall during the NWC Fall Classic in 2017. The Classic was at Quail Valley Golf Club in Banks, Oregon.
The Logger men and women conclude the fall season in the Whitman Invitational, Oct. 20-21.
