Loggers ready for NWC golf championships in Walla Walla

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's golf teams return to eastern Washington for the Northwest Conference Championships hosted by Whitman at Wine Valley Country Club in Walla Walla, Washington, April 27-28.

The beast out east

Senior men's golfer Colin Rajczak tied for first in the NWC North hosted by Whitman, April 7. He shot a 72 in the one-round event, and was subsequently named the NWC Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week.

Last year's Championships

Mac Turner was named to the 2018 All-NWC Second Team after placing sixth overall in men's competition. Kristi Koyanagi had the best finish for the Puget Sound women when she placed 19th overall. As a team, the men finished seventh and the women were sixth.

Loggers to watch

In addition to Colin Rajzak and Mac Turner, the Logger men will look to first-year Logger Cole Albert to help the team improve from last year's NWC Championship finish. Albert finished top 10 in both the Boxer Invitational and Puget Sound Invitational this spring. Emmi Modahl and Onti Rosen will be counted on, along with Kristi Koyanagi, for the Logger women.
