Loggers draw with Boxers, 1-1

TACOMA, Washington –The Puget Sound men's soccer team tied Pacific, 1-1, Sunday afternoon on Peyton Field.

The Loggers recorded six shots in the first half and the Boxers recorded five, but the teams entered halftime scoreless.

Puget Sound got on the board first in the 54th minute when Ezra Kraus sent a cross in from the corner to Dane Schatz who netted the ball into the upper right bend of the goal.

Matt Kimball recorded the Boxer's goal in the 70th minute off of a penalty kick. Pacific received their PK from an unlucky Logger handball in the box.

The teams remained tied, 1-1, entering overtime. The Loggers and the Boxers recorded one shot each in the first and second OT, but both teams failed to net the game-winner.

Goalkeeper Wren Norwood recorded six saves throughout the 110 minute match.

The Loggers head to Spokane, Washington, to face Whitworth on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2:30 p.m.
