Loggers host crosstown rival on Senior Day

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound men's soccer team concludes its season with Senior Day against crosstown rival Pacific Lutheran on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 12 p.m., on Peyton Field.

Senior sendoff

Prior to the start of Saturday's game, Puget Sound will honor its senior members playing in their final game wearing the Maroon & White: Robert Jorgensen, Nathan Otto, Ari Taublieb, Benjamin Whitham, Zac Lokay, Vincent Von Luehrte, Chet Selis, and Ezra Kraus


Weekend of wins

The Loggers nabbed two one-goal wins at home last weekend: 2-1 (2OT) over Linfield, and 1-0 over Willamette.


Underclassmen performance

In last weekend's wins against Willamette and Linfield, all three goals were captured by underclassmen.  In the Loggers' 2-1 win over Linfield, sophomore Luke Murdock netted the equalizer with only 13 seconds remaining in regulation. Murdock also recorded the game-winner in double-overtime. The following day, Puget Sound defeated Willamette, 1-0, thanks to freshman Sean Hamel's goal in the 85th minute.


NWC honors

Goalkeeper Wren Norwood secured the NWC Student-Athlete of the Week (defense) after totaling six saves in last weekend's wins. Learn more HERE.


Scouting Pacific Lutheran (11-4-3, 9-2-2 NWC)

Pacific Lutheran enters this weekend in first place in the NWC standing with 29 points, closely followed by second-place Willamette at 26 points. The Lutes defeated the Loggers in their first matchup on Oct.7, 1-0, in double-overtime. Forward Eddie Na leads the conference in goals (16) and overall points (34).
