The first conference weekend

Two for three

Two Loggers have three goals so far this season. Luke Murdock and Dane Schatz have netted three scores in 2018, which ranks for the third-highest total in the NWC. Schatz is tied for the second-most points in the league with nine, and Murdock follows closely with eight.

Keeping it classy

Puget Sound has the fewest yellow cards in the NWC so far this season – just one. Six teams in the league have five or more cautions.

Last year against the Whits

Puget Sound beat both Whitman and Whitworth at home in 2017, by a combined score of 5-1. On the road, however, the Loggers lost to the Blues and Pirates by 1-0 margins.

Scouting Whitworth (3-4-1, 2-0 NWC)

The Pirates won their first two NWC games against George Fox and Pacific by a combined score of 6-1. Whitworth leads the NWC in saves with 41, 23 of which have been made by Jesus Nunez. Drew Williams and Drew Wilson both have three goals this fall.

Scouting Whitman (3-3, 2-0 NWC)

The Blues also opened the NWC slate by beating Pacific and George Fox. The combined score between the two games was 5-0. Whitman has the lowest GAA in the NWC (0.60), although Whitman goaltenders have needed to make just 12 saves through six games.
