TACOMA, Washington – Unbeaten in its first two games of the season, the Puget Sound men's soccer team continues a stretch of three consecutive homes games when it hosts Multnomah on East Field Saturday, Sept. 7, at 3:30 p.m.

Puget Sound began the 2019 season with a 1-1 tie against Augsburg, Aug. 30. The Auggies broke a scoreless tie early in the second half with a penalty kick goal. However, the Loggers were rewarded a penalty just 30 seconds later, and Luke Murdock capitalized. Ethan Stern-Ellis made six saves in the 110 minutes.
Cool against Cal
Puget Sound topped Cal Lutheran, 3-0, in its second game of the season. Michael Saffari scored the first goal off a rebound, and Lincoln Schell scored on a header from a Sean Hamel corner kick. Luke Murdock netted his second goal of the season early in the second half.
Logger of the Week
Luke Murdock, the 2018 Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year, was named the Logger of the Week for scoring two goals in the seasonon's opening weekend.
Scouting Multnomah (0-4)
The Lions, out of the NAIA's Cascade Collegiate Conference, lost to Northwest Conference member Linfield, 8-1, earlier this week (Sept. 5). Multnomah is getting outscored, 39-2, through four games.
