Loggers Suffer Sweep At The Hands Of Seattle U.

Tacoma, Wash. – The Puget Sound men's tennis suffered a 9-0 loss to Division I opponent Seattle U on Sunday. The Loggers (0-2) lost in straight sets in all six singles matches.

Ben Miller and John Stevens made the toughest run for the Loggers before falling 8-4 in the No. 2 match. Mark Shkrebtan and Simon Meske took an 8-0 win at No. 1for the Redhawks.

Abe Noyes hung tough with Yusuke Kanehira but fell 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4. Shkrebtan won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 and Miller fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2. Michale Tieu competed at No. 6 but fell 6-1, 6-2.

The Loggers head east next week for matches at Whitworth and Whitman.
