Tennis teams return to the courts this weekend

TACOMA, Washington – After a spring break trip to southern California that was followed by a weekend off from competition, the Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams are back in action this weekend.

The Puget Sound women compete at Pacific Lutheran Friday, April 5, at 5 p.m. On Sunday, April 7, the men's team hosts Linfield at 10 a.m., and the women host College of Idaho at 1 p.m.

During the stint in California (March 21-23), both Logger teams competed at Cal Lutheran, Occidental, and Whittier. The lone Logger win between the six matches was an 8-1 women's victory over Whittier.

The Puget Sound women are in third place in the Northwest Conference, as they enter the weekend with a 3-1 NWC record (5-5 overall). The Loggers beat Pacific Lutheran, 8-1, in a non-conference match to open the 2019 season (Feb. 2).
