Puget Sound's last weekend

Puget Sound (8-15, 2-11 NWC) took one game from George Fox last weekend. Kayla Andrus was .500 over the four game series with one home run. Erica Gott earned the victory in the circle for the Loggers.

Loggers at the bat

Just over halfway through the season, the Loggers have already hit 10 home runs and scored 91 runs. The team is on the verge of passing last year's tallies for both of these categories, with plenty of time to spare in the season. The 2015 Puget Sound team hit 12 homers and recorded 97 runs.

Stone cold Kayla

Kayla Andrus leads the Loggers with a .357 batting average and a .557 slugging percentage, while tying for the team lead in RBI with 15. The senior has hit three home runs and five doubles this season.

Gott it all

Erica Gott has hit four home runs, good for first on the Loggers in 2016. She is hitting .270, while recording six doubles and 12 RBI. The sophomore is also a force in the circle, leading the squad with a 4.07 ERA in 44.2 innings pitched. Gott is 4-4, with two complete games and a save, while striking out 23 batters.

Scouting the Pioneers (9-16, 3-10 NWC)

Lewis & Clark most recently went 1-3 against Linfield. The games between the Pioneers and Loggers are the second and third games in a scheduled four-game series, which was previously rained out. The first game, rescheduled to March 20, resulted in a 5-3 victory for L&C. The fourth game is scheduled to be made up Friday, April 8. The Pioneers are hitting .291 as a team, with Paige Salavea leading the way with a .424 batting average. Emily Drevdahl leads the team with three home runs and 20 RBI. Kalin Rooney is 2-2 in the circle, with two saves in 37.1 innings pitched. She has struck out 15 batters and has a 4.13 ERA.
