TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound softball team concluded its four-game Northwest Conference series against Whitworth Sunday. The Pirates won both games, 10-0 and 15-0, on Logger Field.
Defensively, the Loggers (2-19, 0-12 NWC) played a clean game and did not commit an error in either of the games.
During the second game, Puget Sound nearly put together a two-out rally and threatened to score. Hana DeGuzman hit a two-out single to right-center field, and Jessica Shimoda smacked a single back up the middle. A wild pitch allowed both runners to advance one base, each, but the threat ended there.
The Loggers have a non-conference doubleheader at Northwest Wednesday, March 20, starting at 4 p.m.
