Puget Sound's top four leading hitters are all first-year Loggers. Freshman Hana DeGuzman is batting .339, while fellow classmate Kelsie Sullivan is hitting .333. Junior transfer Maddie Colombo holds a .283 batting average, and freshman Abbi Wong is batting .275.

Puget Sound did not commit an error during its doubleheader against Whitworth, March 17. The four-game series was Puget Sound's best defensive effort of the season, as the Loggers committed only two errors during the weekend. The Pirates had one miscue during the series.
Scouting Northwest (3-15, 1-8 CCC)
Out of the NAIA's Cascade Collegiate Conference, the Eagles from Kirkland, Washington enter Wednesday's contest with four losses in their last five games. Northwest opened the season by splitting a doubleheader against Northwest Conference member Lewis & Clark (Feb. 16). Nicola Fish is batting a team-high .346, and Sammi Caron closely follows with a .345 clip. As a team, the Eagles are hitting .237 and hold a 6.56 ERA.
