The Logger men beat Whitman, but women fall to the Blues

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's swim team beat Whitman, 104-99, in Wallace Pool on Friday night, but the Logger women lost to the Blues, 118-85.

The Puget Sound men set the tone early by taking the top two spots in the 200-yard medley relay. David Olson, Ian Conery, Aaron Zevenbergen, and Cody Dodge teamed up to finish in 1:40.59, good for 11 points. Connor King, Kade Wagers, Brian Parker, and Jonathan Schmidt finished in 1:44.85.

The Logger men earned the top three spots in the 100 backstroke. David Olson finished first (55.04), followed by Dylan Reimers (56.52), and Caleb Van Boven (58.02). Nick Mitchell won the 1,650 freestyle in 16:55.43 to collect nine points for the Loggers.

On the women's side, Kelli Callahan won the 400 individual medley by touching the wall in 4:48.89. Callahan also placed third in the 100 butterfly (1:02.52) – an event won by Calista Skog (1:00.52).

Skog took second place in the 200 freestyle (2:02.02), while Kayla Dimicco placed third (2:02.48) in the same event. Anne Shirey continued to dominate the 100 breaststroke, as she won the event with a time of 1:09.01.
