Logger swimming comes up short at Trinity

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Puget Sound men's and women's swim teams lost duals at Trinity Tuesday afternoon. The Logger women lost to the Tigers, 123-88, and Puget Sound men fell, 102-75. 


The Puget Sound women's 100-yard medley relay team (Maddie Kriz, Jordan O'Hanlon, Roxanna Trissel, Allison Hoops) came up victorious with a time of 23.42. The women got another relay victory in the 450-freestyle relay (Melissa Kegans, Kayla DiMicco, Kelli Callahan, Calista Skog), timing in at 4:09.13. Rylee Downs won the 150-breastroke (2:00.25), and Skog won the 150-butterfly (1:39.17). 

On the men's side, Dylan Reimers won the 300-freestyle (2:48.43), and he placed second in the 250-individual medley (2:43.26). The men had a successful 450-freestyle relay (Caleb Van Boven, Justin Sasano, Reimers, Nick Mitchell), winning the event with a time of 3:51.93.

The Loggers have two more days of training before returning to the Pacific Northwest for consecutive NWC duals at Whitman (Jan. 19) and at Whitworth (Jan. 20).
