TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound track & field teams are back in action when they host the Peyton Scoring Meet on Saturday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m.
Puget Sound will host teams from six schools: Pacific Lutheran, Central Washington, Olympic College, Green River Community College, Evergreen State, and Warner Pacific.

Last time out
During the Pacific Lutheran Invitational (March 11), For the Logger men, Andrew Langtry and Liam Monaghan finished first and second, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. On the women's side, Hannah Eshelman won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:35.07. Click HERE to read more.
Behind the name
The Peyton Scoring Meet is named after Puget Sound legend Joe Peyton. He was inducted into the Puget Sound Hall of Fame in 1973 after earning 11 letters as a student-athlete (football, basketball, track & field). In 1998, Peyton was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a track & field coach for the Logger men & women. He was the Puget Sound men's and women's head track & field coach for 29 years.
The Loggers are home once more to host the 31st Shotwell Invitational on Saturday, April 1.
