TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's track & field teams both finished in first place during the Peyton Invitational in Baker Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The Logger men totaled 123 points, and the women reached 137 points. There was a total of eight teams for both men's and women's final standings.
Emery Bradlina achieved Northwest Conference Championships qualifying times in both the 1500-m run and the 800-m run. She finished second in the 800-m with a time of 2:19.55, and she was also second in the 1500-m by crossing the finish line in 4:43.10.
Sydney Denham also hit NWC qualifying status in the women's high jump, clearing 1.50-m.
Jack Monaghan won the men's 800-m with a time of 1:59.26 (NWC qualifier), and he won the 1500-m by timing in at 4:05.13 (NWC qualifier). Colin Monaghan placed third in the 1500-m with a time of 4:09.95 (NWC qualifier). He won the 5000-m by timing in at 15:25.34 (NWC qualifier). Cody Dewitt earned an NWC qualifying time in the event with a 15:54.52 finish, good for second place.
AJ Johnson placed third in the triple jump with an NWC qualifying distance of 13.34-m.
The Loggers are off next week and return to action in the Boxer Invitational, March 30.
