Several Loggers perform well in Pacific Open

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – The Puget Sound men's and women's track & field teams continued to improve during the Pacific Open Saturday, as the Loggers approach the Northwest Conference Championships in a few weeks.


Emery Bradlina placed fourth in the women's 400-m by timing in at 1:01.29. Rachael Metzler won the women's 800-m run (2:26.53), and she was third in the women's 1,500-m run by timing in at 4:56.42. 

A little more than 12 hours after presenting her thesis, Lura Morton placed fourth in the women's 100-m dash (13.58 seconds).

The men's 4x400-m relay time of Miles Carlson, Collin Heimbach, Duncan Varela, and Skye Guegan was victorious with a time of 45.96.  

Three Logger men finished consecutively in the 1,500-m run. Colin Monaghan was third overall with a time of 4:08.44, followed by Isaac Fournier (4:08.45) and Cody DeWitt (4:08.90). Jack Monaghan was third in the men's 400-m dash by crossing the finish line in 51.43.

Puget Sound hosts the JD Shotwell Invitational Saturday, April 6.
