NEWBERG, Oregon – Cassidy Daugherty matched her season high in scoring with 13 points, but the Puget Sound women's basketball team lost at George Fox, 82-57, Friday night.
Daugherty hit three of her four attempts from 3-point range, and she shot 5-for-8 overall from the floor. She netted 13 points earlier this season in a win against Claremont-M-S (Nov. 18). Meghan Hamel scored 12 points and added seven rebounds, while Elizabeth Prewitt chipped in 10 points for the Loggers (6-6, 1-2 NWC).
Hamel increased her rebounding average to 6.7 per game, which ranks eighth in the Northwest Conference.
George Fox (10-2, 3-0 NWC) was held to 41.1 percent shooting from the floor, just shy of the Loggers' mark of 42.3 percent. However, the Bruins forced 24 turnovers and outrebounded Puget Sound, 48-36.
