TACOMA, Washington – Jamie Lange's tenth double-double of the season propelled the Puget Sound women's basketball team to a 65-54 win over Pacific Lutheran in Memorial Fieldhouse Tuesday night. It was the Loggers' first home game since the first weekend of December.
Puget Sound held a narrow 48-47 lead at halftime, but the Lutes (4-12, 0-7 NWC) held tough through the third quarter. Pacific Lutheran's first lead of the second half came with 52 seconds remaining in the third, 47-45, but Prewitt hit a layup at the buzzer to even the score.
Layups by Daugherty and Prewitt early in the fourth quarter gave the Loggers a 52-48 edge, and they hold on to the lead for the rest of the game.
Puget Sound doubled up on the Lutes on the glass, 50-25. It marks the Loggers' fifth game with at least 50 rebounds this season.
The Loggers return home to host Lewis & Clark this Friday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m.
