Women's basketball dominates Lutes on the road, 71-36

PARKLAND, Washington – The Puget Sound women's basketball team quickly claimed a double-digit lead at Pacific Lutheran at never looked back in a 71-36 triumph over the Lutes Tuesday night.

The 35-point win is Puget Sound's largest margin of victory this season. 

The Loggers (12-12, 7-8 NWC) finished the first quarter with a 26-12 lead thanks in large part to limiting the Lutes (5-19, 1-14 NWC) to 26.7 percent shooting from the floor in the first 10 minutes.

Puget Sound dominated on the glass, 58-31. Jamie Lange recorded her 15th double-double of the season by scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 boards. Elizabeth Prewitt scored 17 points, marking her 11th consecutive game in double figures. Cassidy Daugherty added 14 points, including 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range, in the winning effort.

The Loggers conclude the 2017-18 at Lewis & Clark, Saturday, Feb. 17, at 5 p.m.
