The Loggers' second-half woes continued against Linfield

TACOMA, Washington – For the second consecutive day, the Puget Sound women's basketball team held an 11-point lead at halftime. And for the second consecutive day, the Loggers lost by a 66-57 margin. Saturday evening Linfield got the best of the Loggers in Memorial Fieldhouse.

Jamie Lange came away with her ninth double-double of the season by netting 14 points and pulling down 14 boards. Cassidy Daugherty scored 19 points for the second time in three games, and Gia Sorn chipped in 10 points.

Puget Sound (7-6, 1-3 NWC) was once again sharp in the first half, shooting 51.2-percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes. After an even score following the first quarter, Puget Sound outscored Linfield (8-5, 2-2 NWC) by 11 points in the second quarter to take a 39-28 lead into the locker room.

However, the Loggers' second half woes continued. Puget Sound shot 19.4-percent from the floor in the second half, including a 2-for-18 showing in the fourth quarter.

The Loggers have a quick turnaround as they host Pacific Lutheran Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m.
