Lacrosse set to host Bruins

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's lacrosse team is set host George Fox this weekend.

Puget Sound's last games

The Loggers traveled to Southern California to play three games over Spring Break. Puget Sound dropped games to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Whittier, and Redlands.

Kerri on

Kerri Smith missed last season with an injury, but she is back with a vengeance in 2016. The senior leads the Loggers with 15 goals scored this season, as well as 21 draw controls.

Pick-up Becker

Elena Becker leads the Loggers, and is second in the Northwest Conference, with 22 ground balls. The junior has also caused 14 turnovers, good for second on the squad.

Scouting the Bruins (5-3, 3-0 NWC)

George Fox is currently in first place in Northwest Conference standings. The team most recently fell to Redlands, 15-8. They have defeated Whitman, Pacific, and Linfield in NWC play. The Bruins are scoring 13.13 goals per game, led by Jess Hanson who is tied for second in the conference with 25 goals scored. Alexa Nakashimada is just behind with 24 goals. Goalkeeper Mikaela Easterlin is 3-3 and has a 11.74 goals against average, with 71 saves made.
