Logger lacrosse set for season finale against Bruins

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's lacrosse team is set to play the final game of the season when they visit George Fox this weekend.

Puget Sound's last weekend

After falling, 22-8, to Pacific on Saturday, the Loggers responded by defeating Linfield, 14-5. Senior Callie Holgate scored seven goals to lead Puget Sound against the Wildcats.

The three senior captains have proved their worth this season both on and off the field. Kerri Smith leads the Loggers with 27 goals scored and seven assists. Callie Holgate is second on the team with 15 goals. Leah Stromberg has started every game in goal, making 88 saves. 

Scouting the Bruins (8-5, 6-1 NWC)

George Fox most recently fell to Pacific, 15-10, after defeating Linfield, 21-5. The Bruins are scoring 13.92 goals per game this year. Alexa Nakashimada leads the team with 43 goals and 14 assists, while Jess Hanson has 34 goals. Mikaela Easterlin is 8-5, with 113 saves and an 11.67 goals against average.
